Thiet Jewelers
was started by our Grandparents Erwin and Pearl Thiet. Our Grandfather Erwin began his career as a watchmaker apprentice for
Rakowski Jewelers in Kenosha Wisconsin 1925. Following graduation from his apprenticeship Erwin moved on to work at Al Fuchs
Jewelers on Green Bay Road in Milwaukee. He married Pearl in 1929 just before the "crash". They worked very hard
together and in 1945 decided to open their own jewelry store on Third Street in Milwaukee. In 1947 they moved the store to
East Silver Spring Drive where it is still located today.
